Photography Competition

Every month I enter an online photography competition held on msn groups. The competition in December was for a Macro shot - the closing date was last night, and I have got a week to vote on the other photos entered (if I don't vote then my picture gets disqualified).

My picture this month isn't the very good at all - there are some really great shots on the website, but I like to enter something - as I then get to vote! The picture that I entered is below:I accidentally called it 'Attack of the Stationary' - instead of 'Attack of the Stationery' but I might just pretend it was some kind of a pun instead of a mistake!

Its not exactly 'macro' - but the competition did state 'macro - or as close as you can get' which I think is fair. Next month the competition is for a self-portrait, that could be more fun.

My First Blog

This is my first blog, and therefore I feel I should say a little about myself.
I'm 25 years old and live in Southsea with my partner Ed (also known as Matt). I am awaiting my course materials for my next Open University course - Creative Writing. I work in admin at the University. My hobbies include most things creative - knitting, embroidery, photography, artistic things! I would love to try quilting at some point in the future - but so far all I have managed is to buy a big bumper book on the subject and dream of buying all the materials involved in which to start.

I'm not quite sure what form this blog is going to take yet - and as I still don't have my course materials, I'm not sure what the course will expect of me - but I have been told that keeping a diary of writing is one of the ways of keeping yourself up to speed. So hopefully from this blog you will expect to see short pieces of writing, photography, and pictures of anything else creative that I have started.
